Research

My research interests cover the areas of hardware/software security, digital forensics, environmental sensing, the internet-of-things and radio frequency (RF) technologies. I frequently supervise both undergraduate and postgraduate projects in these areas.

For latest publications, please see Google Scholar.

2018-2024

During this time, I completed my PhD in Electronic and Electrical Engineering, focussing on the development of a novel pressure-based energy harvester for low-power IoT systems.

Alongside my primary work, I also conducted tangential research into the testing and validation of flexible thermoelectric devices, which I then published at Eurosensors 2024.

2017-2018

As a student, I was involved in a number of research projects across the department, including designing d-GPS Systems for Glacier monitoring, environmental sensing using distributed wireless chloride sensors and initiating my own research into low power wide area networks.

Media Coverage

A media article from the University of Southampton covering my role in creating an inter-university cyber security competition entitled the "Higher Education Cyber Challenge", which was held at the university in 2019.

As an undergraduate, and subsequently a PhD student, I participated in a range of capture-the-flag style events, scoring a number of top-three positions as part of the university CTF team.
